Audi A4 Cabriolet

The Audi A4 was first introduced in 1994 as a compact luxury sedan. Shortly thereafter, Audi recognized the need to satisfy the demand for a more cargo conscious vehicle and a wagon body style was added to the A4 lineup. It was not until 2002 that the A4 Cabriolet or convertible style, joined the A4 family, appealing to those who wanted more of a luxury sports compact car with the convenience and driving thrill associated with letting the top down. The convertible was based on the A4 engine technology and officially replaced the previous Cabriolet that had been discontinued in 1998. The Cabriolet is often thought of as a reliable yet somewhat oversized and underpowered vehicle, however, the vehicle was released in 2002 with a more powerful engine and streamlined design than its Cabriolet predecessor. The convertible top is electrically operated and can be smoothly lowered or raised within 30 seconds. The undeniable presence of the vehicle was not only visually stunning; it was also equipped with a continuously variable transmission which was highly regarded in the automotive industry worldwide. Its lightweight, responsive transmission and outstanding mechanical engineering is what has made the Audi such a reliable and performance driven vehicle. For the 2007 model year, the vehicle is larger and has room for four passengers. Available with either a 4 cylinder or V6 engine, the 2007 A4 Cabriolet has also been enhanced with interior and exterior components that add a dash of elegance and increased convenience and functionality to this model.
